Clive Nolan: "There are the Cheltenham Playhouse performances of 'She' coming up in only a few weeks. How quickly they have arrived! Rehearsals are now underway, and I am looking forward to our latest venture with this particular musical. I must say this may well be the last time we perform 'She' for a while, so try not to miss it." ;)

'Beyond the Veil' Acoustic Show DVD Pre Sale!

Beyond the veil small for fb

We are going to release an ‘official bootleg’ DVD of the acoustic show recorded during the ‘Fire and the Quest’ weekend in September 2015, celebrating 10 years of Clive Nolan Musicals. This show features a wide variety of Clive’s material performed by a stellar cast of singers and musicians. Clive plays piano, sings and entertains alongside artists including Christina Booth, Alan Reed, Paul Manzi, Chris Lewis, Paul Scott, Agnieszka Swita, Victoria Bolley, Gemma Louise Edwards, Verity Smith, as well as the instrumental talents of Mark Westwood, Scott Higham and Kylan Amos.

The cost of the DVD package (full colour cover and 2 DVDs) is £15 and it is now available for pre-order in our ONLINE SHOP! The profits raised from this project will go towards the making of Clive’s new musical ‘King’s Ransom’. ‘Beyond the Veil’ will be dispatched in August (at the latest).

Clive Nolan: “I hope this DVD will provide a wonderful memento of that terrific Saturday afternoon concert. I have compiled and edited the show in its entirety, ‘warts and all’, so please be aware there is a lot of chatting and story telling (you can get straight to the songs with the chapter selections). It also needs to be remembered that, sadly, the sound quality is limited because we only had the audio recorded on camera. It was a lot of fun doing this gig, and I really enjoyed working with all these excellent performers. With the challenges I now face to record the new musical, ‘King’s Ransom’, every sale of this DVD will be a welcome contribution to the cause… Enjoy the show, and thanks in advance!”

She in cheltenham 2016

A theatrical version of Clive Nolan's first musical will return to the Cheltenham Playhouse in September 2016.

Paul Scott (manager of the Playhouse): "We're looking forward to welcoming back friends from around the world on 2nd and 3rd September when Clive Nolan returns with three performances of his musical version of H. Rider Haggard's classic adventure novel, 'SHE'. This will be Clive's fourth visit to the Playhouse and we're hoping more local folk will turn out to see the buzz when people from (usually) 16 or so different countries descend on our intimate theatre. Clive has recently been declared Best Keyboard Player once again (nine times now!) by the Classic Rock Society awards and he's a local Gloucester boy made good. "

There will be three shows during the weekend: Friday evening, Saturday evening and a Saturday matinee. Special weekend deals allow you to buy tickets for two shows and get the third one free!
